uLink - MicrogriD
I worked with MIT spinout company uLink to design and develop an improved version of their microgrid products: clean energy tech to enable ad hoc electrical networks within communities in places like rural India.
I was able to work with their electrical engineering team to substantially reduce the overall size and complexity of the device, and to create a low-cost, intuitive product for their end users. I also completed a short production run: building 25 units with a combination of 3D printed (SLS), cast urethane and waterjet cut aluminum parts for a pilot program in rural India.
