Formlabs - APPLICATIONS ENGINEERING
During my time at Formlabs, I worked on various projects to test new materials, validate workflows, and produce marketing assets. I designed mechanisms, sample parts, assemblies, and trade show displays during my time there in addition to my primary work on the product team and technical writing.
Video clip by Corey L’Esperance, all the good photos by Geoff Fosbrook, okay photos by me.
I designed a functional mechanical gripper assembly using a leadscrew and linkage design, made entirely from 3D printed SLA components in Formlabs Engineering Resins. All components utilize snap fits or interference fits for assembly.
I designed this movable drilling jig assembly as part of a whitepaper on 3D printed jigs and fixtures.
A multi-part assembly to demonstrate a new feature in PreFrom, the 3D printing prep software from Formlabs. The feature allowed for printing of parts directly on the build platform without a raft.
